Changes to @wolfstar/plugin-opentelemetry. The plugin traces a bot with OpenTelemetry: a preload starts the SDK, and a plugin opens one span per interaction. For the weekly summary across all packages, see the changelog overview.

0.1.0 (2026-10-24)

New features

  • New package — Trace an @wolfstar/http-framework bot with OpenTelemetry. See the package docs. (#262)
  • Preload — Load @wolfstar/plugin-opentelemetry/preload with --import. It starts the SDK only on the main thread and only when an OTLP endpoint is set, and picks the exporter from OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_PROTOCOL.
  • Sentry exporter — The preload can add a Sentry exporter from SENTRY_DSN without leaking the headers of the first destination.
  • Safe defaults — The preload redacts Discord tokens in undici spans, skips WebSocket handshakes and the Sentry transport, and exports the last spans on SIGTERM without keeping the process alive.
  • Interaction spans — The ./plugin entry, or the ./module entry under the opentelemetry key of stars.config, opens one span per command and handler, and on request per autocomplete. Each span is the parent of the calls the command makes.
  • flushTraces() — Exports the spans waiting in the batch from a shutdown path.
