# Function: envIsNull()

> **envIsNull**(`key`): `boolean`

Checks if the value of the specified environment variable is null.

## Parameters

### key

keyof [`Env`](/documentation/api/env-utilities/interfaces/Env)

The name of the environment variable.

## Returns

`boolean`

Whether the value of the specified environment variable is:

* The string `"0"`
* The string `"null"`, case insensitive
